I should totally be sleeping, but I napped nearly all day yesterday and the NyQuil isn't strong enough! O_O I'm still sick, but that didn't stop me from going to Neptune's Net in Ventura with SO this weekend for some fish 'n chips then heading to L.A. for Italian later that night.
Neptune's Net! Right off the Pacific Coast Highway, it's a small shanty of a restaurant. Nothing fancy, just your basic steamed and fried seafod, but SO GOOD.
Fried calamari and shrimp with fries. *drool*
Yum, apricot hefeweizen. I know I shouldn't be drinking while I'm sick, but who can resist a cold beer with fried goodness?
For dinner, we ate at Buca di Beppo's. I've never ever been disappointed by Zagat ratings, but this wasn't satisfying at all. Sure, they had huge portions for the amount you pay, but the food didn't live up to expectation. Their decor was interesting though...
Their walls were completely covered with framed photos of Italian iconography.
Some kind of berry martini they served me. Weaksauce. Not enough alcohol, too much... whatever's in it. I should've ordered wine.

I've gotta say, the UD liner is THE SHIT. I received this as a free sample from Sephora, but I can see myself buying this when I run out. Glides on smoothly, it doesn't melt and smudge like other liners, and I have OILY lids. UD gets major brownie points from me for this. This is what my Shu Uemura drawing pencil wishes it could be.
