Hi Fei,
I always get excited about others traveling or living in China. I was a China Studies minor (major in economics) and absolutely loved it. Currently I'm trying to find a US company who will send me over for a couple of years to work. Your teaching post sounds promising!
- Angie519
I hope it actually happens. All talk and no action is so disappointing. From the sound of it, you have yourself a backup in case Aiden doesn't come along! ;)
I love shopping for electronics at Costco. Not only is everything a good deal cheaper than regular stores, but they have a three month return policy AND a three year warrenty. It's like the only place I'd purchase electronics from.
- Incandescent
I LIVE for Costco's return policy. They're so flexible... I once had an old lady give me some Costco return advice while I was waiting in the return line: "You can return watermelons even after you've cut it!" XD Okay, that's just abusing the return policy.
anyway, nice to have you back again! i actually like the other layout better = minus the difficulties in finding the comment box.
- Anne
Aww. I like this since it's clean and different, plus it allows me to use widgets. Makes changing up my layout a lot easier!
Jaya,
(I'm liking all this China feedback I'm getting, btw)
I'm glad you had such a wonderful experience during your internship. Watching the Olympics is also warming me up to the idea. I felt exactly the same way when I was in China two summers ago... I felt ENORMOUS. I had to buy sizes much larger than usual!
Oooh, much anticipating pictures of the cardigan!
- Terrishka
Okay, I completely forgot about it. lol. Can't blame me! It's way too hot for cardigans, but I'll model it soon.
so i hear they have MAC at Costco's i was just saying they should make a value pack and have Hellman's mayo along with it...and i don't get why they use all that damn plastic for that little shadow...i mean i get it that your a bulk retailer but man...
- xppinkx
Perhaps it's to prevent theft. It's pretty damn hard to pocket one of those things. But nothing really stops anyone from stealing from Costco. The people checking the carts at the exit aren't very thorough.
whoa mac at costcos...lol, why did i have a sam's membership?
- Ren
I have a Costco membership, you have Sam's... Let's swap. lol. I've never set foot in a Sam's Club!
oh yea, it's totally UGGS season soon. i'm going for either the chocolate or black this yr.
- Stephanie
Will def hit you with Qs with they come to mind. It was between the choc or black for me too. Eh, I have a lot more black clothes than brown (zero), so black it is!
Loving this, very clean! Costco is slowly taking over the world.
- Fuzkittie
Yes, yes it is. It's a total one-stop shop. You can get your Fendi and your toilet paper all under one roof!
Hi Fei!
Which Panasonic Lumix model did you get? I have been looking at the Panasonic Lumix Tz4 and tz5 for a while now!
- Elisa
Ah... The one I bought is a FS5, so it's def not what you're looking for. I just wanted something compact and cheap! Oh, how I wish I could get an SLR, but they're thousands of bucks and I'm not quite THAT into photography. I'd just be another wannabe. XD
i think your comment box link is well and truely sorted! i didnt need to re-click to get here :P
- NicNic
Good! Glad to also hear that life in Japan is going smoothly.
I got my Zappos package on Monday!

So you think UGGs are ugly... I STILL think they're pretty UGGly, but it's definitely comfort over fashion this winter! Walking in UGGs is like walking on a bunch of soft, fuzzy sheep. (You kinda are, but the sheep are dead. >:D) Very comfortable. They're actually not too bad with jeans tucked in. It's just weird to see them worn with summer clothes (though I can see how you could--they're so breathable!)
To answer this question:
Hi Fei, I was just wondering about the UGGS kid size, is the shaft smaller at all compared to Women's? I'm a 8.5 but wear an UGGS size 7. The deal I have skinny legs, and the shaft is way too big in the women's yet I still want to stuff my skinny jeans into them and was wondering if the kid's size would work. I've read your blog before but i think it's my first time commenting. It's great tho! Thanks!
- Lisa
Hey, Lisa. I'm not sure what you meant by the size of the shaft (the opening or the length?), but I'll answer both ways. The opening of the shaft is big enough for me to tuck the legs of my skinny jeans in:

And from afar:

Might be hard to see, since it's so dark, but there's definitely enough room for you to tuck in skinny jean legs. I'm a pretty skinny girl myself, so I know what you mean about boots that are too roomy.
As for the length of the shaft, it's probably 1 to 1.5 inches shorter than the adult version (mine is a size 6 Youth/Big Kids). Not a big difference, so it doesn't look like I'm wearing kiddie shoes. I'm a short Asian gal anyway.

You're a size 8.5? I'm a size 8, so this pair fits me fairly snug, they'll stretch out anyway. Give size 6 a try.
Alienman's FUNday post were too cute. I like how she appears off on her own, drinking straight out of a paper bag while her bf plays pap. She reminded me of MY drunken funday photos. These were from Halloween of last year. I think some of you will remember the costume. Anyway, I'm a really happy and smiley drunk:

REALLY happy:

That night was a blur to say the least. Haha! And, finally, a photo of the SO. Am very glad I don't get Asian glow. I just noticed that my face is lighter than the rest of me: sunblock from the day and different skincare regimen from face to... shoulders? lol
Speaking of SO, he bought me a Canon SD750 in black today:

Just $150 on Dell's website. Dad'll get my Lumix to use for work crap since he paid for it anyway. Now that the Canon's mine all mine I'm thinking about "zhnging" it like XX does.
